RAF 2-Day March Volunteer Support Staff

1.         Military personnel (regular or reserve) may volunteer to be part of the Support Staff for the event; there are posts available for officers, SNCOs and other ranks.  Personnel wishing to volunteer their services will be required during the period 24 to 28 Apr 25.  Support Staff volunteers are to first seek permission from their respective OC or line manager before submitting an application.  Volunteers should complete the application form at Annex A and send to the RAFWARMA Secretary at: secretary@rafwarma.org.uk to arrive at the email address no later than 14 Mar 25.

 

2.         To comply with the JSP 815 requirement for personnel to have appropriate competence and training, volunteers filling key positions on the support staff will be provided training for their role on the Saturday of the MLAW, 22 Mar 25, at RAF Cosford.  The RAF WARMA Organising Committee will notify personnel if they are required to attend.  This training will include a detailed talk-through of each marching day, actions at the forming up point, briefing on rest area drills and site layout, actions on emergencies etc.

 

3.         Personnel who intend to participate in the Nijmegen Marches but would also like to volunteer as support staff for the RAF 2-Day March are invited to apply for entry to the MLAW 21 to 23 Mar 25 during which they can complete a Nijmegen qualifying march.
